The Dead sea salts were originally, and naturally, sourced sustainably from the Dead Sea, which is the lowest and saltiest point in the Jordan Rift Valley, which borders Jordan and Israel. The mineral-rich salts were created from the rocks that were on the land and eroded by rainwater.
Epsom salt, also known as magnesium sulfate (MgSO4), surprisingly enough, is originally British. In fact, Epsom salt gets its name from where it was discovered, which is a bitter, saline spring in Epsom, which is the name of a town in Surrey, England. Apparently, the salt from the bitter water was ironically avoided and shunned by local livestock because it had laxative and wound-healing effects.

Mineral Composition
Both salts have several minerals in them to help the body both mentally and physically. When it comes to the dead sea salts, they are strongly rich in minerals like magnesium chloride (MgCl2) and potassium chloride (KCl). In addition, you will also find minerals like bromide (Br), calcium (Ca), iodine (I), sodium (Na), and sulfur (S).
When it comes to Epsom salt, it has its own form of magnesium in the form of magnesium sulfate (MgSO4), which consists of magnesium (Mg) and sulfur (S), which are two plant nutrients, which are natural sources.
